Administration Denounces 'Democrat Fabrication' as More Jeffrey Epstein Photos Disclosed
Democratic lawmakers have released a new tranche of what they termed "troubling" photographs from the estate of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, depicting notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The opening batch of 19 photographs—a portion of which have been seen before—plus another 70 issued later on Friday constitute a minuscule portion of the almost 100,000 images handed over to the House oversight committee, which is probing the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The shamed investor died by apparent suicide in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being charged with sex-trafficking offenses.
Prominent Personalities in the Images
Included in the notable figures seen in the opening set are well-known figures such as movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin business group.
Donald Trump is pictured in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are redacted.
Administration Reaction
The White House reacted to the release in a statement, charging Democrats of purposefully "hand-picking" the pictures for electoral motives and to "seek to establish a false storyline."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been time and again refuted," a White House spokesperson stated, asserting that "this presidency has accomplished more for Epstein's victims than Democrats ever have by frequently urging openness, releasing numerous documents of documents, and urging more inquiries into Epstein's Democrat friends."
Congressional Democrat Statement
The photographs were released without context, but according to a California Democrat and ranking member of the oversight committee, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's links with the rich and powerful.
"The moment has come to halt this White House concealment and secure justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he declared in a comment.
The disclosure of these materials occurs alongside the oversight committee pressing on with its investigation into the Epstein case.
