I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
