Netflix Chooses Spot-On Actor for Bentham in One Piece Third Season
The Secret Organization is poised to exert significant influence in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the major clash won’t unfold until the next season, and a cherished, popular member has recently been selected.
The streaming service revealed this week that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Bentham. Bon Clay can use their power to change into an perfect replica of any person they’ve made contact with with their main hand. Escola, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that character re-envisioned as non-binary, instead of as a drag artist, in the live-action series, unlike the original manga and cartoon version.
The new cast member joins multiple new cast members who will portray the organization to the screen, including leader Sir Crocodile, portrayed by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the ensemble as the ruler of the fictional land.
Although Bon Clay is a key figure of the group, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece season 3. Given season 2 set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this represents a notable change in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could signal more adjustments to the plot development.
Their mix of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the part. Besides their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.
The platform’s adapted One Piece series is due to premiere for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
